What a Wonderful Day !!

Our day today was indeed a wonderful day!! We slept in a little bit and we decided that we would enjoy lunch out since we still had Christmas gift cards from my parents to Olive Garden so we headed out to eat. Oh, the food was delicious. Shawn and I always split the Tour of Italy because it has a little bit of everything in it. We had a salad, bread sticks, lasagna, chicken parmesan, and spaghetti. The nice thing about the cook was that he/she fixed the dish wrong so we got the spaghetti for free and they brought out our fettucine alfredo which is my favorite. I didn't, well I couldn't eat the spaghetti because I had enough to eat plus I wanted to save room for dessert. Our meal was perfecto and well the black tie mousse cake was magnifico!! Here are some pictures to show you what we enjoyed for lunch.

Here is Daddy helping cool down the macaroni & cheese that Cameron ordered.
Mmmm, yummy!! Here is me getting ready to take my first bite of my chicken parm.
Yep, I had to share my fettucine alfredo noodles with Cameron. He loved them just like his Mommy.
Here is our oh so delightful dessert - The Black Tie Mousse Cake. Can you say Y-U-M-M-Y !!
Here is the very cute Birthday card that Cameron received from Colin (Kelly's son) at Close to Home . He received it in the mail today.... just in time for his birthday party and he loved it. He also received $2.00 which I am sure he will probably either buy matchbox cars, something dealing with Mickey Mouse or possibly even put it in his piggy bank for safe keeping. Thank You Kelly for your kindness - it is much appreciated and well Cameron loves the finger puppet!!
Here are some pictures taken during the party. Cameron just got up from a nap so he might look a little dazed and confused (lol).
Here is the gift that we bought for Cameron. A motorized car and he loves it. We are not Star Wars fans by any mean and I will probably end up taking the stickers off and put Mickey Mouse stickers in their place. Here he is test driving the car in our house. Of course after he rides it outside for the first time, it doesn't come back inside.
I bought this punch balloon at the Dollar Tree. Uh yeah, he loves it and he loves the color yellow!! Gotta love the "small" things that make kids so happy. I think he gets that from me. The small things tend to get me so excited and happy!!
This is the train table/activity table that his Grammy, Grampy and Aunt Kee bought him for his birthday!! He also received a Mickey Mouse phone from them as well. He LOVES this train table. We plan on eventually getting him a wooden train, but right now he is using it for other toys and as you can see..... he loves to get up there and sit on it. I guess he thinks that it is just his special little place to sit like a big boy!! Oh, get this..... he was trying to get up on it this evening and what does he do?!? He slips off the side as he was trying to get up and cuts his chin. Poor little guy, it was bleeding quite a bit, but it isn't bad enough for stitches which is a good thing. I was so worried that I grabbed a hold of him and lifted him up faster then anything. Yep, I still have 1 week of no lifting and I caved in tonight. I was of course freaking out and it was a motherly instinct to pick him up and comfort him. Oh, let me tell you.... it felt WONDERFUL to hold him again and I can't wait to do it again on the 19th. I have truly missed that and I think he has too. Just to hold him and comfort him has been something I have missed tremendously. The 19th couldn't come soon enough!!
Well, I am glad that I was able to share our day with you. We had so much fun and the great thing about it was that we ended our evening sharing it with friends. We were invited over to some friends home this evening. Actually the friends that invited us to go to their church was going over to the pastor's home for a game night and we had a blast. We had munchies and met lots of new people and we played spoons. Oh, if you haven't played spoons then I would highly recommend it. It was so much fun and so addicting!! Cameron had his little friend to play with and he was worn out when he got home. It was a great night of fellowship and of course it is always nice to meet and make new friends. Cameron received some great gifts!! My parents decided to buy him/us a Columbus Zoo/Zoombezi Bay membership. So, he will be able to enjoy all of these wonderful gifts year around. What a WONDERFUL DAY we had. Thank you God for all of our blessings!! You are truly an AWESOME God.

I am so glad he liked his card.
CJ got the same train table for Christmas. (he loves it too)
What an awesome gift...a zoo membership. We could SO meet you there. My step siser lives minutes from the zoo. Not a big fan of the water park, though. (have not been there yet, but me + bathing suit = a big NO NO!!! ;)
I am right with you on NOT being a star wars fan. PJ is though.
Glad it was a wonderful day spent with family and old friends as well as making new friends.

Oh, I am soooo hungry for Olive Garden now! I was before, but...thank you very much, Lisa, I really wish I could go now! It's so fun to have a g.c. to the restaurant, too!

Never had that dessert - it looks very yummy!

How awesome! So many blessings for three of the greatest blessings that I can think of. :) I am so happy for you. You are so right when you say the little things in life mean the most. What a joy to hear that you have met new friends and have been invited to go to church to what hopefully will be a place that fills you in so many ways.

Glad to hear and see that Cameron had a wonderful birthday. Those are some really neat things that he got. And, yes, I agree his car would look perfect with Mickey Mouse stickers on it. I have never been a fan of Star Wars either.
