Cameron is now FINALLY starting to enjoy school.  What a relief to say the least.  I thought I would share some pictures that I took of him recently.  First let’s look at some of his artwork.

Gotta love it when they can climb the cabinets to get on top of the countertop.  I can be using the restroom, come out to find that he helped himself to some snacks in the cupboard.  Gotta love it.

I also had to share that Cameron now knows and can recite the whole Pledge of Allegiance.  He came home from school the other day and started saying it.  Talk about melting Mommy’s heart!!   Hopefully I can get the video uploaded soon and share it with you.

Also take a moment tonight to remember all of the families that have lost a child.  It is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  Be sure to light a candle in remembrance of all of those precious babies that have lost their lives waaaay too soon.  Tonight I will remember our baby that we lost back on Feb 25, 2004.  I love you sweet angel in Heaven.

Another Difficult Day ~ Day 2 of Pre-School

His arms are stretched out, his hands are reaching for me and then I hear “Don’t leave me Mommy, please don’t leave me Mommy.”

That is what I heard this morning when I left Cameron at pre-school.  What a heart breaking moment.  I don’t know how long it takes for him to calm down, but those first couple minutes when I leave him are difficult to say the least.  I absolutely have LOVED being able to stay home with Cameron.  I have enjoyed every single moment of it, but it is extremely difficult on us when we are separated.  He has really never been with anyone else (childcare wise), but his grandparents so I am sure you can imagine how traumatic it is for him.  I have been making school sound like it is something great and wonderful.  He will meet new kids, make new friends, play, color and learn.  He is so excited until it is time for Mommy to leave.  Surprisingly I did pretty good today.  Then he started crying and my heart started breaking.  Day 2 of pre-school has been difficult, but I am sure that with time, Cameron will love it and my heart won’t be aching as much.

In the process of waiting for that day to come… I will watch and wait and count down the time to when I can pick him up.  Is it time yet?

Here is to hoping that the comfort and security of pre-school comes sooner rather then later.

Blessings to All.

Cameron’s First Day of Pre-School

My little boy is growing fast……..way too fast!  We got up this morning and I fixed him a nice breakfast for his first day of school.  He requested eggs so that is what Mommy fixed.  Once he was done eating…… I got him dressed, teeth brushed and then it was about time to go.  Here are a few pictures that I took of my little man and his first day of pre-school.  Hope you enjoy them.

Seemed like yesterday when I was waiting to find out if IVF worked for us.  Waiting for that call from the infertility specialist.  Waiting on Cameron’s arrival.  Waiting for Cameron to try new baby food.  Waiting for him to walk.  NOW… I am waiting for it to be 11:30 so I can go and pick him up from pre-school.

I left and was doing great until I got downstairs and then the tears started falling.  It is so difficult being with your children from the moment they are born and then when it comes to school… you have to put your trust into the hands of a stranger.  Someone you barely know and that is difficult.  It was difficult on me and I knew it would be hard on him too.  Just as I was ready to walk out the door… I heard him screaming for me.  Talk about breaking your heart into a million pieces.

Once the clock said 11:15 am, I hopped into the car and off I went to pick him up.  I was so excited that I could barely control myself.  I was so happy to go and pick him up and hear about his day.  I arrived and went inside.  He was sitting at a table waiting for me.  He was watching all of the other kids and parents and looked so sad waiting on me.  Once he saw me, he ran to me and I picked him up.  He squeezed me so hard around my neck I thought my head would “pop” off, but it was all good.  He told me that he missed me, that he cried, but he also told me that he had fun.  Nothing like more tears falling down MY face.  Hope I get use to this soon because it breaks my heart when I have to leave him.  I know it is great for him and I know he enjoys it especially after he gets use to it, but boy oh boy do I ever miss him when he is gone.

My Little Man is Getting So Big!!

Where have I been?  Well, I have been around, but busy to say the least.  Hubby is home for the summer and I have been enjoying the fact that he is home and we are all together.  We didn’t get a vacation this year, but we have still been able to do alot.  We went to the zoo, went to COSI and took a few other small trips close to home.

I have also been busy re-finishing Cameron’s bedroom.  He is totally obsessed with Toy Story right now so I thought I would re-finish it while I was able to take advantage of my hubby being home.  I allowed Cameron to pick the color and he chose Candied Yam.  Yep, it is a bright orange, but it turned out pretty and he absolutely LOVES his room.  I went with decorating it the cheaper way.  I purchased posters from Wal-Mart and puzzles from the Dollar Tree.  Once the puzzles were put together, they were glued and put on a piece of wood.  They turned out real cute and he loves them!!  Here are a few pics of his room.

Bright – don’t ya think?  I like it…… I find it cheerful and it puts a smile on his face and that is the main thing.  I love making him happy!!

I also thought I would let you all know that I enrolled him in pre-school.  He will go 3 days out of the week and I think it will be good for him.  It makes me nervous trusting a total stranger with my child, but I have to remember that God is watching over him and I am pretty sure he will keep him safe.  Couldn’t have a better person watching over him – right?

Anyway, I thought I would share a few other pics that I took recently.  Hope you enjoy the smiles.

~ Spring Time ~

Hope you all have been receiving the same beautiful weather like we have.  It has been absolutely beautiful here in Ohio and I have really been taking advantage of it.  The temps have been in the 80’s with a slight breeze and absolutely perfect!!  I went out the other day and bought some paint for my doors as well as for my trim around the doors.  I painted my front door, back door and the door that goes into our detached garage.  WOW, what a little paint can do for a door is amazing!!  I still need to work on the trim around the outside of the doors, but it is looking alot better!!  I also took advantage of the beautiful weather and worked on my day lily flower bed.  All of my beds need weeding so I am doing a little here and there with hopes of having them ready for new dirt, mulch and bricks this summer.  So, I guess I will just keep plugging along with those.

Did you all have an enjoyable Easter?  We had a nice time and I thought I would post a couple pictures of Cameron while hunting for Easter eggs and playing outside.  Enjoy them!

Speaking of Cameron….. we were very lucky with what happened to him the other week.  We were in the process of re-finishing the master bedroom and moving the toy room upstairs.  Well, Cameron is such a BOY and he makes me soooooo nervous sometimes!!  Well, he decided that while we were sitting downstairs taking a quick break that he was going to check out him play room.  He did just that and more.  Yep, the next thing we hear is bang, bang, bang coming all the way down the steps.  He decided that he was going to ride his hippity hop that we got him for Christmas down the steps.  He went tumbling down 13 steps and luckily did not hurt anything or break any bones.  I guess you could say that the Dear Lord was watching over him.  He hasn’t been giving that hippity hop much thought lately (lol).

Alot of you have inquired about Qbert and how he is doing with Cameron.  He is doing wonderfully and I must say that he is really a GREAT dog.  I grew up with schnauzers so I really didn’t have any doubt that he would be great, but he is super with Cameron and just the most loving little guy.  Cameron and Qbert play soccer in the backyard….. Cameron will kick the ball and then Qbert takes over and pushes it all over the back yard with his nose while barking at it.  It is really funny and too cute!!  Qbert also likes to follow Cameron up the slide and that in itself is really cute!  Anyway, here are some pictures of the ever so funny and cute Qbert.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.  The temperatures are suppose to drop tomorrow to the 50’s and then warm back up this weekend.  So, I have some signs and game-boards to work on and a few other things.  If you all have been following me long enough then you know how I love to stay busy.
