Mickey Mouse Cake Pictures

Let me just put it this way..... I don't think I am going to be a cake decorator anytime soon, at least not in this lifetime (lol). I am happy to say that the cake is complete and for it being my VERY 1st TIME EVER to decorate a cake..... at least this way, I am happy to say that it turned out pretty good. The only part that I am not satisfied is the black part that comes around the side of his face. It is so hard to see where to start and where to end things and that is where we had the most difficult time. My MIL showed me how to make the stars and how to go about decorating and then I just took off. It took me a couple hours to decorate it, but it was worth it when Cameron saw it and said "Mickey Mouse." So, if he sees that it is Mickey Mouse then I am happy if he is happy. It just looks like a cross between a Mickey Mouse and an Elvis with side burns if you ask me (hahahahaha). I think that next year and the years after that I will be ordering from good old Krogers or Wal-Mart if I want any specialty cake. Here are a few pictures that I took last night. I could only get a few pictures because my batteries were so dead. As you can see..... Cameron helped me mix the cake batter and of course eat it, then we popped the cake out of the pan and I sat there trying my best to find more clear lines, but I wasn't seeing any so as you can see, it was pretty difficult to decorate or at least it was for me.

Your cake turned out really great!

I used to bake and decorate cakes on the side - way long ago. I did my own wedding cake and someone elses. When I first started doing birthday cakes I would spend HOURS doing them, then as I gained experience it wasn't near so hard. Now I order one from a bakery!

WOW Lisa! You did a fantastic job on decorating Cameron's cake! :) I can see why he was so excited, and I am sure that it was just as yummy too. :) No need to go to a store when you can just do it yourself and have totally awesome results. I knew you would do just fine; I never doubted it for one minute. :)

Love and hugs,
Stacey :)

Wow, that looks really good. I happened on your site as I am looking to exactly the same thing. My daughter's b-day is in march and I was looking for that pan! Hopefully I can find one and make a cake as good as yours!
