Sickness, Puke & Poop OH MY

It has indeed been an interesting day here at my home and it is only 12:05 pm. I am not sure if I have mentioned this before, but I take care of two little girls in my home in order to make some extra money. Well, one girl left yesterday with a temperature of 101.6 and I heard from her Mom today that they took her to the doctor which is very unusual for them. They never take her to the doctor which I find odd, but anyway back to the matter at hand. Her mom informed me today that her temperature went up to 104 degrees last night and she might have strep. So, I have been cleaning like a maniac today and spraying EVERYTHING, I mean EVERYTHING down with Lysol with hopes of killing any germs. The last thing I need is a sick child. Then, we were eating lunch today and the other girl that isn't sick (whew) is eating her mini ravioli which I cut into smaller bites. Well, I try to tell her not to eat so much at once, but she doesn't listen and shovels as much as she can into her mouth. Well, she is starting to choke on her ravioli and then she pukes all over the table. I was eating with the kids and about lost my lunch too. I couldn't believe that she puked all over my table. Oh, I was so disgusted. I was just totally grossed out. Have you ever seen a child puke out mini ravioli? Well, make sure you keep that at the bottom of your list of your must sees - GROSS!! So, once I finally started moving from all the shock, I moved over to the sink to get a washcloth so I could clean up that disgusting mess, turn around and she is trying to eat the stuff that she just puked up. I about lost it!! Cameron at this point has his mouth wide open and is staring at her like she has totally lost her mind and I was thinking the same thing. OH MY GOSH, what a day it has been here today!! I have been dealing with sick kids, puking kids and tons and tons of poop of which I forgot to mention. Yep, I am in desperate need of a break. Calgon PLEASE take me away!!

OK, I consider myself to have somewhat of an iron stomach. I mean, besides snot, I can pretty much handle anything. But, this eating of the puke thing...NO! YUCKO!!! Sorry you're having such a crappy day (ahhaah....get it?).

Seriously it is one thing to clean up your own kids puke but another one especially while they are eating their leftovers is just gross. I am so sorry. I think your awesome to take in other kids and do daycare in your home. I have thought about this but I am just not sure that I could handle my own kids plus someone elses.

What a day, by the way, I almost got sick reading it. I am so grossed out by vomit. It is just fine if it is my own kids, but anyone else ewww yuck. So sorry you had this kind of day.

Praying tomorrow will be better...
