Disappointment with Elections

I sit here and watch the news as the votes are rolling in and I am trying my best not to get discouraged, but I am. I am pretty upset that my great and wonderful state of Ohio voted for Obama and alot of the other states are coming in with the same results. I personally had a feeling that it would end up this way, but I was keeping the faith and holding out hope. I guess that since this is "my blog" then I can voice "my opinion." I myself wanted McCain to win. I am Pro-Life all the way and I personally don't feel as though there is enough that we know about Obama. What I do know about him, I don't like at all. I feel as though he is shady character and I don't trust him one bit. Don't get me wrong.... it is history in the making, but I am a strong believer that it is the wrong decision for our country. At least I can say that I made the right decision!! Here is to hoping that some of the other items on the ballot go my way.

I can not even bring myself to watch more than two seconds of the TV.. I almost cried reading your post....All I know is God must have a bigger plan than ours....That is the only hope I sit with tonight...

Oh my gosh I am right here with you. I am just sick. There is something about Obama that I just don't trust. When I look at him I don't see any spirit around him. I too am SOOO disappointed. I figured just as you that it would end up like this but I was hoping and praying that it wouldn't. I feel like some people voted for him just because they wanted to see a black person become president.

I'm very disappointed in the result, but I firmly believe that God is in total control. God can absolutely use Obama for His plans. God always answers our prayers...we just don't like the answer all the time. God's plans our bigger than ours so who knows what this might bring for the next election in 4 years. Maybe Obama will be the answer to Republican's prayers to turn our party around. I know that there are so many people that are just sick of Republicans because of Bush. Maybe Obama is just the Democrat this country needs so in 4 years the Republican party might stand a chance.

Amen, Sister! I totally agree and am composing my next post in my head. I too had a bad feeling, but tried to remain hopeful. I am fearful of what the future holds for our country, my children, the unborn who will be aborted, etc. but I do know God is in control and I have to hand it over to Him.
Enjoyed your blog. I too had my own journey through infertility and was finally blessed with #2 in April. Praying that you too will be blessed yet again.

Amen & Amen! I am right there with you and am just sick this morning. Our home state of Indiana voted Obama too. And, the state from which we lived for nine years...FL....also went Obama. *big sigh* Our new state, SC, went red at least!
On another note...I have something for you on my blog. :) Ang

I feel the same way you do and the only way I am able to understand is that God will only give us as much as we can handle. God will handle this, I have faith.

I am so disheartened. I would love nothing more than to be "wrong" about Obama, but like you...my gut feeling says differently. My MIL and I agree that we both feel this is God's way of washing his hands of America. Again, I am praying I'm wrong.
