A Sick Child = Sleepless Nights

Well, it was another sleepless night here in our home. Cameron has been sick with a runny nose, coughing and sneezing. He doesn't have a fever so that is good news however he isn't wanting to sleep worth a darn and he had us up pretty much all night. He woke up at 2:00 am and was screaming bloody murder..... I don't know what his problem was, but he was up for a long while. The only way that we could get him to calm down was to get him some juice and turn on Mickey Mouse. So, we had the portable dvd player in our bed and he was sitting up watching it while Shawn and I were propping our eyelids open with toothpicks. I woke up this morning with a pinched nerve or something like that in my tushie and let me tell you..... it feels great! NOT
It makes it quite difficult to walk or chase around a little boy with a runny nose all day, but I will do my best. Can you imagine me hobbling through the house, a tissue in one hand and trying to wipe the nose of a little boy that can't stand to have his face wiped, let alone his nose? Uh yeah, all he wants to do is run from me and then he decides he is gonna wipe his nose before I can get to it and then we have a real big mess. Ughhh, I am so ready for a good nights rest and a little one that feels better!! Well, I am off to get a little one dressed for the day and to rest my tush on a heating pad..... I am hoping that will bring some comfort to my pain.
