Off to visit my parents

Well, I just got done packing my bags and I still have lots to do before we leave to go visit my parents tomorrow. I am quite excited because I don't get to see them too often or as often as I would like. My Mom and I are like two peas in a pod, from the same mold or I guess you could even say cloned. We are just so much alike that it is unbelievable. It is all a good thing!! We like the same things, think alike, act alike and we are just like best of friends. I talk to my Mom all of the time. A couple times a day and I enjoy it tremendously. It is hard for us to pass a day without talking to each other so, I guess you could say it is a good thing that we have unlimited long distance (lol). Anyway, we are taking out of here early tomorrow morning. We will probably get there around 9 am and visit with my Dad for a little bit and then we will leave for Amish Country. We normally eat at our favorite restaurant (yummy food I tell ya) and then we will hit the antique stores and of course the primitive stores. Our favorite store is Country Gatherings in Berlin, Ohio. They have some cute stuff and the amish made furniture is great!! My Mom had purchased quite a few pieces for me in the past, one of which is my cabinet in my kitchen. Look at "Some of my favorite things" post and you will see my black cabinet. LOVE IT!! Anyway, we always enjoy our time together and they are moments that I cherish and replay over and over in my head. I just can't wait to see them and visit and one of my favorite things is my Mom's cooking. Ah yes, there is nothing better then your own Mom's cooking. She is fixing homemade ranch dressing for my salad, her homemade lasagna and carrot cake. Yep, I think I will be in heaven!! So, what are some favorites that your Mom fixes for you?
