Nights in Rodanthe Review

Well, alot of you wanted to know if Nights in Rodanthe was worth buying and my husband and I think NOT. It was a good movie, but very slow until halfway through or more then halfway through the movie. Yep, you will need tissues, but that is towards the end of the movie. I guess I was just comparing it to The Notebook and to be honest with you...... there is NO comparison!! I thought it was going to be excellent from the beginning and well it was lacking alot. Just very slow for both my husband and I which we were kinda bummed out about. If I were to rate it then I would probably give it a 6 out of a 10, but the end is what got me to give it a 6. Did any of you watch this movie? What were your thoughts on it? Were you as disappointed in it as me? Go ahead and leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts.

That's good to know. I almost bought it on Sunday at Target, but it was $20...I would have if it was on sale. I've loved both The Notebook and A Walk to Remember so I was sure I'd love this movie too, but now I'm not so sure. I guess I'll just rent it from the Redbox and see.

I just watched it while I was down resting this weekend. My mom and I were really excited to rent this...I have to say that while it was good...it was just missing something for me...I am not sure what...and I am a easy reviewer...lol
But I do think it was worth the rental fee...

I just watched this last week and let me tell you that I have been waiting for this movie since it appeared in theaters. I loved, loved, loved Diane Lane and Richard Gere together in unfaithful and thought this movie had to be a good one...wrong. I too was disappointed in the way the movie dragged. The best part was the end but I had to sit through an hour and a half of riff raff to get there...highly disappointed

I heard the same thing about it. I'm still wanting Fireproof. Haven't seen it yet, but want to own it from everything I've already heard.

I agree! I think I have read every single Nicholas Sparks book and I was expecting SO much more. It was okay...but not my favorite :(

I would have to agree and I was so not happy about the ending! A rental for sure!

So I finally rented it yesterday and I really went into it with an open mind, but I was totally disappointed! One of my girlfriends said she cried her eyes out during this movie, but I didn't even shed one tear. I've read the book and it was so full of romance and passion, but this movie lacked both. I don't think I cried because they didn't really help you get connected to the characters.
