The Best Things in Life Are Free - Well Sorta

Wouldn't you all agree that The Best Things in Life Are Free? Over the past couple nights, I have reclined my chair and watched the most precious movie, listened to the most beautiful sounds and enjoyed my favorite scents. Yep, you guessed it!! I have enjoyed watching Cameron play, laugh, smile and after his bath enjoyed my favorite scent of baby shampoo and baby lotion. I know, I know..... you are probably thinking - He is 2 years old and you still put baby lotion on him? Well, I only do it if he has a dry patch of skin and he did on his forehead so I grabbed the baby lotion last night instead of the Eucerin. Oh, he just smelled so good and it was definitely a night for free things. I didn't have to go anywhere last night. I stayed in the comfort of my own home and watched Cameron play and laugh and it was such a delight for me. Another thing that I love to watch is when he wants some applesauce..... he still climbs up on Daddy's lap and Shawn feeds him the applesauce. That is the ONLY thing he lets us feed him, He is definitely an independent little guy which is good, but sad. He use to depend on me for alot and now he likes to do everything himself.
Last night was the very 1st time that he enjoyed an Oreo. I myself am not a huge fan of Oreos, but my husband is so after dinner we all enjoyed a cookie at the table. As you can see Cameron really enjoyed the Oreo and gave it a thumbs up! I was trying my best to get a picture of his dark chocolate smile, but all he wanted to keep doing was asking for "Nother Cookie Mommy" It was so cute and I allowed him to have a 2nd one, but that was it. Oh, and the diapers that we have seen today have been.......well, I will not say.

Gotta love how he is studying the Oreo here. You wonder what he is thinking? What a precious face to say the least. Gotta love watching a little kid enjoy their food. They either really enjoy it or hate it to pieces and won't even give it a try.....gotta real love that!
Well, I just had to throw this one in for good measure.....just because he has the most precious smile ever. What a gift I have in Cameron!! Did I tell you all that we were thinking about enrolling him in swim lessons? Yep, my little fishy loves the bath tub, lays on his stomach and kicks water like there is no tomorrow. Oh yes, it can be quite the wet mess, but it is all fun and we enjoy it. I will keep you all posted on the swim lessons.
Well, I leave you with this thought. If you have children, are currently pregnant or trying to get pregnant, I just want you to know that parenthood is definitely the best thing ever! Now granted it isn't a free ride nor was our process of making Cameron, but hey everything in between is free for you all to enjoy. So, tonight as you watch your children, feel that kick in your belly or make plans for you to become one step closer to becoming a parent...... I just ask that you enjoy EVERY moment. You can't get these moments back and it is a once in a lifetime experience. Now granted - you might have another child, but every child is different so enjoy the moment and enjoy those free things such as a hug, a smile, your childs laughter or just watching them sit down and read a book or play. CHERISH EACH AND EVERY MOMENT!!

He's so sweet and adorable! I can see how he enjoyed that Oreo!

My son always moaned "mmmmm" as he ate something that he liked and we just loved to sit and watch and listen to him! He still will do it at times when he has something extra special.

I absolutely loved your post about Cameron today. :) It was just perfect like him. Being around children at school allows me the opportunity to be able to take in a lot of those free things in life. :)

Oh the smell of baby lotion and shampoo, simply wonderful. Just like Hannah, I am looking so forward to one day using them on my little miracle.

Oreo's, definitely a family trait. :) They are one of my favorite cookies too. My mouth is just watering at the thought of them as they soften in a glass of milk. mmmmm~

The pictures of Cameron are priceless. :) You certainly have it all Lisa and I am so happy for you. I admire you in so many ways. It makes me tear up just to think about how much all of you mean to me and Scott. I don't know what I would do without you.

I'll admit it, I am anxious for y'all to come up again. I miss you a lot and have been thinking about all of you often. :)

Love and hugs,
Stacey
