~ Spring Time ~

Hope you all have been receiving the same beautiful weather like we have.  It has been absolutely beautiful here in Ohio and I have really been taking advantage of it.  The temps have been in the 80’s with a slight breeze and absolutely perfect!!  I went out the other day and bought some paint for my doors as well as for my trim around the doors.  I painted my front door, back door and the door that goes into our detached garage.  WOW, what a little paint can do for a door is amazing!!  I still need to work on the trim around the outside of the doors, but it is looking alot better!!  I also took advantage of the beautiful weather and worked on my day lily flower bed.  All of my beds need weeding so I am doing a little here and there with hopes of having them ready for new dirt, mulch and bricks this summer.  So, I guess I will just keep plugging along with those.

Did you all have an enjoyable Easter?  We had a nice time and I thought I would post a couple pictures of Cameron while hunting for Easter eggs and playing outside.  Enjoy them!

Speaking of Cameron….. we were very lucky with what happened to him the other week.  We were in the process of re-finishing the master bedroom and moving the toy room upstairs.  Well, Cameron is such a BOY and he makes me soooooo nervous sometimes!!  Well, he decided that while we were sitting downstairs taking a quick break that he was going to check out him play room.  He did just that and more.  Yep, the next thing we hear is bang, bang, bang coming all the way down the steps.  He decided that he was going to ride his hippity hop that we got him for Christmas down the steps.  He went tumbling down 13 steps and luckily did not hurt anything or break any bones.  I guess you could say that the Dear Lord was watching over him.  He hasn’t been giving that hippity hop much thought lately (lol).

Alot of you have inquired about Qbert and how he is doing with Cameron.  He is doing wonderfully and I must say that he is really a GREAT dog.  I grew up with schnauzers so I really didn’t have any doubt that he would be great, but he is super with Cameron and just the most loving little guy.  Cameron and Qbert play soccer in the backyard….. Cameron will kick the ball and then Qbert takes over and pushes it all over the back yard with his nose while barking at it.  It is really funny and too cute!!  Qbert also likes to follow Cameron up the slide and that in itself is really cute!  Anyway, here are some pictures of the ever so funny and cute Qbert.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures.  The temperatures are suppose to drop tomorrow to the 50’s and then warm back up this weekend.  So, I have some signs and game-boards to work on and a few other things.  If you all have been following me long enough then you know how I love to stay busy.

A New Addition….

Have you ever thought to yourself that you wanna go back when it comes to raising a child?  Well, let me just tell you that I wish that Cameron was 2 again.  These horrific 3’s are very close to sending me over the edge (lol).  Seriously though… Cameron has had selective hearing for some time now, doesn’t want to listen to me, talks back and well the list goes on.  He is definitely a challenge to say the least.  We had really been cracking down on him and trying our best to get him to listen, but it is super frustrating to say the least.  I remember when he was 2 years old and he just wanted to be so helpful, he would listen and never talk back and he was as good as gold and now… well, we myswell just toss that whole idea out the window.  Any of you have any suggestions?  I am definitely ready to hear anything and everything and try it out.

I will leave you with a few recent pictures of Cameron.  Of course these were taken when he wasn’t being a little monster ☺

I also thought I would share some pictures of our new addition.  Yep, we bought Cameron a puppy for his 3rd Birthday.  Cameron picked out his name and we just brought him home this weekend.  Please take a moment and say hello to Qbert.  Yep, that was the name that Cameron gave him.  I haven’t a clue where he gave him that name, but we thought it was cute and since it was his puppy…well, he got to name him.  He is a miniature schnauzer just in case you all were wondering.  Here are some pics.  I must say that he is a great puppy.  Great with children, such a relaxed and mellow little fellow and we have just been enjoying him so much MINUS the crying at night.  I am sure that in time that will be a thing of the past, but we will deal with it for now.

Why can’t he keep his pants on?

I must say that it has been too long!  I was sick for several weeks with bronchitis and was on several strong meds that made me pretty sick.  I am happy to report that I am feeling much better.  Alot has gone on since my last post.  Where should I begin?!?

Well, my main concern and something that I can’t seem to fix is the fact that my child loves to be naked.  Ok, well let me re-phrase this.  He likes to go without pants on a regular basis.  We check on him before we go to bed and noticed several nights were he strips down to nothing or something just to his bare butt.  WHAT?  Yep, you heard me correctly.  He loves to be without pants.  I walked into his room just yesterday during naptime and find this…

Seriously, can someone please tell my son to keep his pants on?  We have tried on several occasions to cut the feet out of his jammies and turn them around and zip them up the back, but he gets so hot during the night.  What is a Mom to do?  Hmmm, I guess I will just keep thinking while trying to keep his clothes on him.  He is just so rotten and ornery!!

On another note ~ I think the age of 3 is worse then age 2.  Does anyone agree with me?  My son is definitely finding out that he is his own individual and boy oh boy has he been acting out.  He has found that he can act anyway he wants to and throwing tantrums is what he loves to do most right now…..of course next to undressing (lol).  Here he is throwing a fit because he wanted peanut M&M’s for breakfast instead of oatmeal.  The weird thing is that he LOVES oatmeal so that didn’t make much sense to me.  Perhaps he was just testing the waters once again.

Mommy wasn’t about ready to give in and after about 20 minutes of sitting there and screaming that he didn’t want oatmeal… he ate his whole bowl of oatmeal and wanted more.  I guess it is best to just stand your ground and be firm.  In the meantime you are losing all sorts of hair and turning gray (hahahaha).  Gotta love the THREE’s!!

I also wanted to take a moment to say “CONGRATS” to Kami.  Her and her husband just welcomed 2 beautiful little girls into the world.  After years of struggling with infertility and an IVF procedure… she is a proud Momma!!  Congrats once again girl ~ I am so happy and excited for you.  You will be a great Mommy : )

Three Years Ago Today….

Three years ago today, my little boy was born.  I remember holding him for the very first time, pulling the blanket away from his face to make sure that he was real.  I touched his tiny little hands, rubbed his forehead and took a moment to smell his skin.  I gently kissed his forehead as tears ran down my face and I realized that it was indeed reality and not just a dream.  God had blessed us beyond measure and we were finally given such a great gift, a gift that we had been praying for the longest time.  I know that you all have heard the story before, but I can’t express how happy and grateful I am to have been given the opportunity to be a Mommy.  I am the Mommy to such a beautiful, loving, funny, happy, well behaved boy ever.  He brightens my every day and I am just so thankful.  One thing you must all know about me by now is that FAMILY means the world to me.  I am married to a great man and we were blessed with such a beautiful little miracle.  God has been good to us and we are thankful.  Here are a few pictures to share with you tonight.

Random Picture Post

Tried taking some Christmas pictures of Cameron. Oh ~ that is such a process to say the least. I definitely got some cute ones and thought I would share them with you. As you can see here....he is just being plain ornery or is it plain cute (lol).
This one is just plain adorable in my book. He is getting so big!!
This is the one we used for our Christmas cards. Isn't he just so handsome?
As you can see.....he DID NOT like Santa at all. We attempted several times to have him sit on Santa's lap, but that didn't work. He refused and you can tell by the look on his face that he was actually pretty terrified. I felt so bad for him!!
Awww, this is just a wonderful shot that I wanted to share with you.....a beautiful smile and gorgeous eyes to boot!! Wow ~ I love him so much!!!!!!
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy, Healthy & Safe New Year!!

It has been awhile since I posted some random pictures so I thought I would share a few with you today.  Last weeks weather forecast had a few warmer days so we took advantage of that time and got Cameron out of the house to play.  I don’t know what we are gonna do when winter rolls around, but we will take advantage of the time now.  Enjoy the pictures!!
